MEET SYMPLY SYDNEY

I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, captivated by bright, vibrant colors that have the power to bring joy and brighten someone's day. Growing up inspired by Disney movies and surrounded by diverse communities, I discovered that art was my sanctuary - a place where I could let my mind wander freely without the constraints of logic, bringing everything I imagined to life on paper.

Living in such a culturally rich environment sparked my fascination with different traditions, folklore, and the beautiful ways that clothing, fashion, and nature complement each other across cultures. This lifelong appreciation for diversity inspired me to create Symply Sydney - because I believe there's profound unity in celebrating and respecting each other's uniqueness and differences.

MISSION

My mission is simple yet profound: to be a light in a dark world by celebrating and embracing all the good that surrounds us. Through my art, I strive to bring joy and positivity while helping people see themselves as their most authentic, beautiful selves. I believe everyone deserves to feel represented and celebrated, regardless of their background or where they come from. As both an artist and business owner, my core values center around respect, authenticity, and cultural appreciation.

I'm committed to continuous learning about people from all walks of life, and I express these discoveries through the medium that brings me the greatest happiness: vibrant, meaningful art. When someone sees or uses a Symply Sydney product, I want them to feel seen, celebrated, and joyful. I hope my stationery becomes a reminder that diversity is beautiful, that their story matters, and that there's always something worth celebrating in this wonderfully colorful world we share.

START TO FINISH

Every art series begins with a meaningful theme that speaks to my heart. Once I've chosen a theme, I dive deep into research, which is perhaps the most important part of my process. I'm committed to finding reliable and credible sources, always being mindful of cultural sensitivities, symbolism, and the deeper meanings behind what I'm illustrating. I spend hours exploring online databases, books, and trusted resources to ensure I'm honoring each culture authentically and respectfully. After gathering all the information I need, the magic begins with rough thumbnail sketches where I explore different compositions and ideas. From there, I refine my favorites into detailed sketches using digital tools, continuously perfecting each element until it becomes the vibrant final illustration you see.
